?The Learning Academy’s December Newsletter?
Our Winter Break will be December 23 – January 3. School will release on December 20th at 3:00 pm and students will return to school on Monday, January 6th. There will be no aftercare on Friday, December 13th or Friday, December 20th. Have a wonderful holiday with your family and friends!
Our Holiday Program, a performance of A Charlie Brown Christmas, will be on Friday, December 13th at 6:00pm in the Teton High School auditorium. All students will be performing in our program. We will have two dress rehearsals at the high school on Thursday, December 12th from 9-11am and Friday, the 13th from 11:30am-1pm. If your preschooler does not regularly attend and you’re able to bring them to rehearsal, that would be awesome! Students do not need special dress for the rehearsal. Please see separate email for dress requests for the play.
Winter Sports Program
Attached please find information regarding our winter sports program. We will begin going to Grand Targhee to ski on Friday afternoons beginning January 10th. This program is for ages 4 and up only and all students in Preschool or Transitional Kindergarten must be accompanied by a parent (preschool students who do not attend on Fridays are welcome to meet us there with a parent). Preschool and TK students who do not participate will have regularly scheduled classes on Fridays, those in K-8th grades who choose not to attend will need to be picked up from school at 12:00 on ski days. There are limited scholarships available; please see Erin if you think you may be eligible. All paperwork and payments must be turned in to the office prior to Friday, December 13th – please note that all students ages 5 and under must pay the full price ($186), regardless of whether they are pass holders.
Secret Santa Gift Exchange, Pajama Day & Caroling
Friday, December 20th is pajama day and we will do a small gift exchange. TK-8th grade students will come home today with the name of a student to purchase a gift for. Preschool students may bring a wrapped gift for a child of the same gender or something gender neutral. Please limit spending to $8 or less. Thank you for participating in this fun event. The kids love it so much! Gift ideas include: art supplies, games, books or small toys – please try to avoid candy or other “treats”. We will also go to the assisted living center and Broulim’s to sing carols that afternoon.
