Welcome 2020-21 Learning Academy Families!

We hope summer has been (and continues to be) awesome for you all. We are gearing up for an amazing school year and are really looking forward to seeing you all on Tuesday, September 8th!

Please see the bulleted list below for information about the first week of school and beyond. We appreciate you looking it over carefully. If you have additional questions, please don’t hesitate to send us an email or give the school a call. Thank you!

School begins at 8:30 am on Tuesday, September 8th.

**Please see the information below and the attached map that will explain pick-up and drop-off procedures and which door your child should enter and exit through.

  • Your student will need a backpack, lunch box, water bottle and a mask that fits comfortably. Masks should be at least two layers (no Buffs or handkerchiefs please). If available, a personal-sized hand sanitizer would be great too. Please label all belongings.
  • Electronics, phones and toys will not be allowed at school, thank you for keeping them at home.
  • Thank you for sending a healthy lunch with at least two snacks and for using reusable containers and utensils whenever possible to help reduce single-use plastics. Please do not send treats in your child’s lunch.
  • Remember that there will be no access to microwaves or kitchen utensils, please pack lunches accordingly.
  • Please send your child with outerwear and shoes that take cool mornings and warm afternoons into consideration. They may also need a baseball cap or sunscreen.
  • If you know ahead of time that your child will be staying for aftercare or attending early drop off, please let Erin know asap. If you have a set schedule, please email us your requested days prior to the beginning of the school year.
  • We have reattached the COVID-19 Response Plan (with contract) and the 20-21 school calendar, as well as an information sheet for preschool parents only.
  • You should have received an invoice for your first month’s tuition and your annual supply fee. If you have not received this yet, please let Erin know via email or by calling the office at 208-354-7898.
  • Please make sure that the office has a signed COVID-19 enrollment contract and a completed application packet with accompanying documents and updated vaccination records or exemptions prior to the first day of school.
  • Thank you for discussing with/reminding your student of the importance of hand washing, keeping hands off of faces and giving their friends and teachers space when they are at school.
  • Please stay tuned for a virtual school tour/back to school address and additional back-to-school information from your child’s teacher.

Drop-off (between 8:00-8:30) & Pick-Up (Preschool 2:45-3:00 & K-8 3:00-3:15)

Please do not leave your vehicle unattended in either turnaround. Please parallel park on the north side of the building or on the frontage road if you plan to walk with your student to their entrance.

We know that the first day of school is a special time and we realize there will be more parents accompanying their students to their entrances during the first week. Please make sure to park along the frontage road and remain outside of the building. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope that as we move forward the pull-throughs will be convenient for you and safer for our students and staff.

All adults on school grounds are asked to please wear a mask and be aware of proper distancing. All students should be masked upon entry to the building at which time individual classes will have varying guidelines regarding mask wearing throughout the day. Thank you for helping to keep us all safe and healthy!

We will do our best to create signage for the first week of school so that pick-up and drop-off can go as smoothly as possible, but we appreciate you looking over the attached map prior to the first day. We also value your patience as we navigate a new way of doing things and promise to be aware of any changes that may need to be made along the way! We always welcome feedback.
