🍁The Learning Academy’s September Newsletter🍁
Welcome! We are so excited about the upcoming year and are thrilled to have you with us! This is the first of our monthly newsletters that will keep you informed of the goings on at The Learning Academy. We know at this point we are sounding a bit like a broken record, but thank you for bearing with us as we work to get everyone on board. Thank you!
BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT POWERPOINT
If you weren’t able to attend back to school night, we have attached the powerpoint for your reference. Thanks for taking a few minutes to look it over. There are some helpful tips that will help the year go as smoothly as possible for all of us!
Please check to see that we have all of your child’s important paperwork. This includes an application packet with proper documents and updated immunization records. These are required for new and returning students, all records must be updated. Thanks for your help with this.
PICK-UP AND DROP-OFF
Parents who are dropping off and picking up only (not leaving your vehicle), please use the pull-through at the front of the building and we will send your student out to you, please bare with us as we learn vehicles. If you will be coming inside, please park on the north side of the building. Please do not leave your vehicle unattended in the pull-through or double park there. Tell friends, grandparents and others who are picking up about this policy as well. Preschool pick-up is between 2:45-3:00pm. Upper grades pick-up is 3:00-3:15pm. If we work together, pick-up and drop-off can be a painless experience. Thank you! ☺
WARM CLOTHING/PROPER FOOTWEAR – PLEASE LABEL ALL BELONGINGS!
These mornings are chilly! Please make sure that your child has at least one warm layer for our morning recess and good shoes for outside play. If it is a beautiful, sunny day, please make sure to apply sunscreen to your child before they leave for school in the morning and/or send a hat.
Friday, September 13th will be a bike day for ALL students. Please send your child with their bike, trike, or scooter and a helmet. Thank you!
Ms. Kristin’s students will be visiting The National Museum of Wildlife Art on Friday, September 20th.
Lynne Green of Lynne Marie Photography (lynnemariephotography.com) will be taking school pictures this year. The dates are September 24th and 25th. Individual photos for Ms. Bevin, Ms. Halina, and Ms. Aly’s classes will be on Tuesday, September 24th and whole school, whole class and Ms. Dani and Ms. Kristin’s classes’ individual photos will be on Wednesday, September 25th. If your preschool student who does not regularly attend on Wednesdays can come in the morning at 9am to join our whole school and whole class photos that would be great! Thank you!
